Spend a morning with Lokhit Pashu-Palak Sansthan (an animal herders’ welfare organization) who works with Rajasthan’s pastoral nomads, especially the Raika. A major focus of its work is the conservation of the camel, Rajasthan’s iconic animal whose numbers have been dwindling in recent years. We have come up with a unique experience whereby you can spend a morning with the camel herders, join them and their herds of between 20 – 150 camels, for a breakfast with a difference. Our ͞chaifaris͟ is an opportunity to meet these nomads whose way of life has been unchanged for centuries, join them at one of their nomadic camps, make friends with the camels, try camel milk and camel milk tea brewed over the campfire and a breakfast of dal bhatti made in the embers of the camp fire.
